Management
Altus is managed by industry veterans with extensive experience in Shipping, Logistics, and Forwarding industries. The leadership team of Rob ert Sumantri, the Group's Chief Executive Officer; Gunawan Wibisono, Charles Hewitt, Michael Ellsworth, and the Group's co-founder Harjoko B. Sumantri, collectively possesses over 80 years of operating experience in the aforesaid industries.

Harjoko Bambang Sumantri , Chairman, Co-founder of Altus Group Ltd
Mr. Sumantri received an undergraduate degree at the Akademi Perniagaan Indonesian, an extension of the University of Indonesia, and attended a joint master's degree program in business administration at the George Washington University and the American University in Washington D.C. Prior to co-founding Altus Group, Mr Sumantri was employed by PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia, where he held various management positions.
Robertus Boentaran Sumantri, Group Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sumantri is a graduate of the Master's Degree Program in Business Administration of the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business and a cum laude graduate of the Bachelor's Degree Program in Business Administration at Georgetown University. After graduation from the University of Chicago, Mr. Sumantri joined the swaps and products development division of JP Morgan Securities Asia Limited where he was responsible for marketing swaps and derivative products throughout Southeast Asia and Japan. Mr. Sumantri left JP Morgan to join the Group in March of 1991.
Gunawan Wibisono, Group Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Wibisono graduated from the University of Indonesia's Extension Program in Business Administration and is a qualified Accountant. After receiving his Degree in 1960, Mr. Wibisono was employed for four years by an accounting firm as an Auditor. Mr. Wibisono then joined PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia, where he headed the data processing and internal control departments prior to leaving in 1975 to join the Group.
Charles Wingate Hewitt II, Managing Director, Project Management
Mr. Hewitt is a graduate of the Master's Degree Program in Business Administration at Cornell University and attended Georgetown University and the George Washington University as an undergraduate in Chemistry and Business Administration, respectively. After graduating from Cornell University with a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Mr. Hewitt worked in Wall Street in capital markets and corporate finance positions before moving to Hong Kong, where he worked as a Manager of listed and unlisted Southeast Asian Investments. Mr. Hewitt joined the Group in September of 1991.
Michael Philip Ellsworth, Managing Director, Logistics / Information Technology
Mr. Ellsworth is a graduate of Occidental College where he studied Economics and Marketing. After graduating, Mr. Ellsworth joined the mergers and acquisitions division of Citibank. Subsequently, Mr. Ellsworth joined The Alcar Group, a financial consulting firm, and moved to Hong Kong. In 1988, he moved to Hong Kong and opened the firm's first Asian office and acted as the Managing Director of the firm's first Asian office. Mr. Ellsworth joined the Group in May 1993.
